Turn Playtest Notes into Better Prompts

Prompting · 3 min read

Describe what happened, what you expected, and what should stay unchanged.

Record what actually happened

A useful note describes a repeatable situation. Include the player action and the visible result. “The shop did not work” is harder to act on than “I had 20 coins, selected the 10-coin basket, and my balance did not change.”

State the expected result

Tell Wobli how that situation should behave. Keep the request focused enough to test again in a few minutes.

Example prompt

When the player buys the 10-coin basket, subtract 10 coins and increase capacity to 20 shells. Keep the shop layout and other prices unchanged.

Repeat the same test

Apply the updated version in Studio and repeat the original actions. Then test an adjacent case, such as not having enough coins. Keep notes about what remains unresolved.
